With support from the UK Conflict, Stability and Security Fund, Wolfs Company held stakeholder meetings and conducted a workshop to determine the scope of an Economic Valuation of Natural Resources in the British Virgin Islands (BVI).
More than 20 workshop participants from the government and key economic sectors of the BVI identified relevant ecosystems, ecosystem services and threats, and determined potential applications of the valuation study to development planning, natural capital accounting and awareness raising.
This study will be commissioned by the Government of the British Virgin Islands in partnership with the UK Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) over a 2-year period, starting in April 2017.
